Ken Burns and Lynn Novick Discuss New Documentary The Vietnam War at Seattle Screening on July 25, 2017
The Vietnam War, a new 18-hour documentary by Ken Burns and Lynn Novick, will begin airing on PBS on September 17—but you can see the first episode before then at two local screenings, in July and August.
The Vietnam War is a 10-part, 18-hour documentary film series directed by Ken Burns and Lynn Novick. The program features testimony from nearly 80 witnesses, including those who fought in the war, those who opposed it and civilians from both sides who have lived with the consequences.
The first screening, at The Moore Theatre on 7/25, will feature Ken Burns and co-director Lynn Novick in person, discussing the film with local author Karl Marlantes. The second screening is at the Seattle Center Armory on August 24th.
